Club celebrated its centenary in 2006. Situated
to the north of Huddersfield and close to the M62 (approximately
one mile from Junction 23 if travelling east, two miles from Junction
24 if travelling west), it is an 18 hole moorland course of some
6000 yards, renowned for its friendliness.
Visitors are very welcome, but check by phone first.
The last few years have seen major investments in the course and
clubhouse, culminating in the spring of 2009 with the reconstruction
of the 7th and 8th greens. At the same time, typifying
the spirit of the club, a group of members have funded and constructed
a new clubhouse balcony (see picture below).
If you are travelling from further afield, refer to the Stay
& Play page for a hotel & golf package. Huddersfield
and West Yorkshire have many excellent golf courses if you want
to plan a major golf holiday. |
